A passionate man whose pen is truly mightier than the sword.
An ex-soldier turned journalist, Laguna is a strong-willed man with amazing energy. Out of compassion for the unfortunate, he helps those who are weak., and destroys those who seek to oppress. Using his pen as a mighty instrument of justice, he now stands strong against the evils of the world.
Laguna may appear as a haphazard, carefree one-dimensional man at first, but underneath his optimistic demeanor lies an emotionally spirited man with a gentle and kind soul.
Laguna may not be the smartest nor bravest man, but his heart is in the right place. He is true to himself, values love above all things, and believes that everything will be fine, so long as one has heart. A passionate man in his principles, his sincere quality makes people around him grow to respect him very quickly. For every act of kindness bestowed upon him, Laguna feels it is only right that he repay the same kindness back.
He lives life one day at a time, his only notable ambition in life was to influence the world with his writings; to be a journalist. However he does not work hard to attain his goal; he is a content man who lives each day simply and happily, and when he chances upon the job of his dreams, he is simply happy with it.
Although Laguna is not pretentious at all, he does occasionally indulges in flimsy, innocent self-delusions of egotism to cover up his embarassing mistakes. He attempts concealing his clumsiness with exaggerations of grand intentions, which amuses his partners greatly and ends up being mocked at, lovingly. How adorable~
Despite all his innocuous, harmless self-pride, Laguna is painfully shy when it comes to the ladies. He shows very obvious signs of discomfort when talking to someone he fancies, which is rather amusing. He also tends to digress very often while conversing.
Although he was a soldier for a period of time, he dislikes fighting and joined the army only because it offered opportunities to travel. Travelling is the most obvious passion of his; he loves to see and experience new things, people and places. Because of this, he does not like confinement nor commitment. He enjoys his freedom, and dislikes the idea of having a fixed destiny.
In the end, Laguna is a man who constantly amazes people with his earnestness and kind heart beneath his clumsy, lovable character. A greatly respected man who, despite being frustratingly stupid sometimes, will always be endearing to his peers.
